Dave has been a member of the Ellis Drum Shop family since day one. A former store manager turned private instructor, Dave now teaches upwards of fifty lessons per week. Dave's spcialties include jazz and "old - style" drumming but is versedin all styles including concet and mallet percussion. Dave also performsas a freelace musician and is a member of the traditional jazz sextet southside aces. |

Peter moved to St. Paul from Oshkosh, WI in 2002. With eleven years of experience in DCI drum & bugle corps, Peter had placed 4th in the 1992 individual snare drum competition. Most recently Peter set a Guiness Book of World Records for the world's longest drum roll. Now with a roster of 50 plus students, Peter is an in demand instructoralong with splitting time playing professionally with the Minnesota Jazz Orchestra, Steve Millar and Diamondhead and his own Trio. |

Stix has been playing drums and percussion for 39 years. His credits include performances with The Drifters, The Platters, The Coasters, The Marvelettes, The Shirelles, Chuck Berry, Lamont Cranston, Gary Rue and Prudence Johnson. Stix was also a member of the SLEEPERS, a Mpls. based band which holds the world record for the most venues played in one day in one city. As far as we know, the record still stands at 112 seperate venues! Stix teaches drumset, conga, and djembe focusing on Afro-Cuban rhythms. |

Fred attended Tennessee State University earning a B.S. degree in MusicEducation with an emphasis in percussion and his M.A. in Music Education He has 35 plus years of performance credits with artists such as Marvin Gaye,Rufus Thomas, John Hiatt, Melissa Manchester, the Ohio Players, Fred has taught in the St. Paul & Minneapolis school districts and privately for over 15 years. |
